- hints, explanations and links to relevant learning material
- Practice and Official Style Test modes
- detailed reference and study material
- progress and test-readiness monitoring
- Smart Practice
- optional English voiceovers
The app is a revision and preparation tool. It does not provide the official Learner’s or Driver’s Licence Test.
Further information about the official test is available in the Information menu.
The Topscore K53 app is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The app is available for compatible iPhones, iPads, Android phones and Android tablets.
Users should check the relevant app-store listing for the current operating-system requirements.

Yes. The app is free to download and use and is supported by advertising.
An optional in-app purchase is available for users who want to remove the adverts. This will also allow the user to revise offline without any Internet connection.
Voiceovers and Auto Audio still require an internet connection.
Tap the advert-removal option on the green banner on the main menu, then follow the purchase instructions provided by the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Go to Settings and tap Restore Remove ads.
Make sure you are using the same App Store or Google Play account you used for the original purchase.
The app is not intended for offline revision unless you make the optional in-app purchase to remove adverts, as these require an internet connection. However, voiceovers and Auto Audio still require an internet connection.
English voiceovers are available for all questions when the device is connected to the internet.
Tap and hold a question or answer to hear it read aloud. Voiceovers are available for questions and answers in Practice and Official Style Test modes and for explanations in most question sets.
Open the menu during a Practice or Official Style Test session and enable or disable Auto Audio.
An internet connection is required to use the audio.
Swipe the central menu band left or right, tap the arrows, or tap an individual menu item. The selected section appears in the centre and its available options are displayed underneath.
Tap an option to open it. Use the icon in the top-left corner to return to the menu.
Tap the small “i” icon in the top-right corner of a main app screen to open the general help guide.
When using a Practice session or Official Style Test, open the session menu and select Help for instructions relating to that section.
Practice mode is designed to help users learn. It provides access to hints, explanations and supporting material.
An Official Style Test simulates test conditions. It is timed, answers are not marked until the test is completed, and hints and explanations are unavailable during the test.
Hints and explanations are deliberately unavailable because Official Style Test mode is designed to simulate real test conditions.
Use Practice mode if you want to access hints, explanations and supporting material while answering questions.
Select the answer or answers you consider correct and then click swipe from right to left - you can also click on Mark.
Then you can swipe from right to left again, or alternatively, select Next in the lower-right corner.
The Next option becomes available once the required number of answers has been selected.
Double-tap the question text or select Flag from the session menu.
To review the questions in the test, tap the question number in the top-right corner. The current question is underlined and flagged questions are identified by a green star.
Select Mark test at the bottom of the test screen. The app will display your score and allow you to review your answers.
To leave without marking the test, open the session menu and select Exit.
The progress dial displays different information depending on the selected section:
- Information and Learn: how much of the learning material you have read
- Practice and Test: the average of your last three test results
- Progress: the percentage of available questions you have seen
- Quick menu: how many of the available options you have reviewed
Open the Progress section to view your results and test-readiness information.
This information can help identify areas that require further revision, but it does not guarantee that you will pass the official test.
Tap the settings icon in the top-left corner of the main screen.
The User Details page allows you to select the type of test you are preparing for and adjust options such as sound effects.
Select Information or Reference from the main menu.
